Compared to last Thursday at the same market: Stocker and feeder cattle steady to 9.00 lower in a light test. CME contracts firmed slightly today but remain lower than were they were this time last Thursday. Slaughter cows and bulls 5.00-8.00 lower. Trade active with moderate demand for all classes. Very good demand for value added cows that are guaranteed grass fed. Slaughter cows 60 percent, slaughter bulls 10 percent, and feeders 30 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 43 percent steers and 57 percent heifers. Near 53 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
